A Day in the Life of a Sister Adorer of the Precious Blood

Meditation
We begin our day with an hour of personal meditation on the Word of God.

Meals together is an opportunity to communicate and share with our sisters in the community.

Adoration
Each Sister is assigned a half-hour of prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament to pray for the needs of the world, the Church and the particular needs of those who contact us.

Spritual Reading
Spiritual Reading is an effective way of seeking the Lord and of being formed by Him.

Birthdays and the Sisters' special Anniversaries are celebrated with festive meals and recreation times.
Study
The formation group study period.

Liturgy of the Hours
Together we pray the Liturgy of the Hours at various times during the day. Night prayer is said privately.

Each Sister is assigned some work within the Monastery. Sister Margaret Ryan is looking after the library of our Regina Monastery.

Examen
In Awareness Examen we grow in sensitivity and responsiveness to the Lord's gifts.

On Thursday evenings our Office of Readings is celebrated within an hour of Eucharistic Adoration - praying especially for our Priests and for Vocations to Priestly and Consecrated Life.

Life is never boring within the Monastery!

Baking, cooking
Cooking and baking is part of our daily chores.

Mass Celebration
The Eucharist is the source of our strength as we journey with Jesus to the Father.

Reading the news is one way of reaching out to those who need our prayers.

Recreation is part of the healthy rhythm required in our contemplative way of life.

On the 1st Sunday of each month we have the blessing of a Day of Retreat and Eucharistic Adoration. Silence is observed throughout the day to give each one the opportunity for greater solitude and prayer.

Sharing time with our Sisters in the infirmary.
