October 19, 2015 was a happy occasion for the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Calgary Alberta when during the Eucharistic celebration, our Junior Professed, Sister Vicky Nguyen renewed her Temporary Vows for three years. Father Raymond Lowing presided and received Sister’s vows. Fr. Long Vu a long time friend of Sister Vicky con-celebrated. It was a day of thanksgiving for the gift of her Life given to God in our Community and an opportunity for all of us to renew the joy of responding to the call of Jesus as a Sister of the Precious Blood, returning Him, “Love for love!” Our mission of prayer continues in the heart of the Church for all God’s people and for our world.

It was February 12, 1955 that I happily made my Profession of Religious Vows - poverty, chastity and obedience. These years have gone by so quickly it is difficult to believe that it is that long ago! This year, 2015, I celebrated my Diamond Jubilee on a Saturday, February 14th. I like that day. Father Pierre Robitaille and his Group C from St. Peter's Seminary joined us for our 7:30 a.m. Mass. They also brought along Fr. Francis Zambon, a newly ordained priest from the Kingston Archdiocese whom we knew when he was a seminarian here in London and Father Patrick Woods, Vocation Director for the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie. After Mass we all gathered in our refectory for a simple breakfast and wonderful sharing. Among the seminarians was Jean Baptiste Nguyen from Vietnam. Our Vietnamese Sisters were thrilled to visit with him. Father Patrick Woods brought us greetings from North Bay where we had monastery for many years. Fr. Pat's mother is a long time friend of the Precious Blood Sisters. It was wonderful to have Fr. Francis preside at our Liturgy and to see him now as a full-fledged priest! Click for Photos
