The Year of 2016 dawned bright and beautiful particularly when, early in the new year, on the morning of January 12th, our newest member arrived from Vietnam! We were delighted to welcome Maria Kim Anh Pham as she began her Community Experience in our London Monastery. On her way home to the Monastery from the airport, Kim Anh had her first experience of snow and a Canadian winter! Coming directly from a hot climate, this is no small adjustment. However, she survived, and is gradually getting used to our Canadian climate.
Kim Anh has entered well into the life of our contemplative Community, and shares her gifts and beautiful smile in whatever ministries she is taking part. We ask your prayers for Kim Anh and her companions as they continue their vocational journey with the Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood.
October 19, 2015 was a happy occasion for the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Calgary Alberta when during the Eucharistic celebration, our Junior Professed, Sister Vicky Nguyen renewed her Temporary Vows for three years. Father Raymond Lowing presided and received Sister’s vows. Fr. Long Vu a long time friend of Sister Vicky con-celebrated. It was a day of thanksgiving for the gift of her Life given to God in our Community and an opportunity for all of us to renew the joy of responding to the call of Jesus as a Sister of the Precious Blood, returning Him, “Love for love!” Our mission of prayer continues in the heart of the Church for all God’s people and for our world.
